In this video on how to speed up a slow Apple MacBook Pro laptop by upgrading the hard drive to a ssd in 2020, I show the read and write speed of a conventional hard drive compared to an ssd.
I also show the simple process of upgrading the conventional drive in a 2009 Apple MacBook Pro with a Samsung 840 SSD. The reality is that during these times, spending several hundred to over a thousand dollars for a laptop may not be the most feasible option. As such, I decided to make a video upgrading an old and slow Apple MacBook Pro laptop computer by changing the conventional hard drive with an ssd.
The best part of this experiment was that with a minor upgrade, the computer sped up roughly five and a half times its original point! I was able to achieve all of this just by upgrading the hard drive to an ssd which ranges from $15 to $90 depending on the size and brand of the ssd.
